From TTDLX to TTDP and OTTD...

Remember the good old Transport Tycoon game, letting you provide distribution routes between towns and industries using trains, road vehicles, ships and aircrafts? In 1994 the creator Chris Sawyer, the man behind successes such as Rollercoaster Tycoon and Locomotion, through Microprose released the first edition of Transport Tycoon, a year later to be followed by the World Editor version. And at the end of 1995 the more powerful Transport Tycoon Deluxe, TTDLX in short, saw the light of the day.

But whatever you may remember from those good'ol days, simply clear your head, because a lot has happened ever since. Thanks to Josef Drexler, the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe has turned into something completely different. Using the Patch or the Open Source, TTDLX is today more commonly known as TTDP or OTTD, and through a large fanbased committment TTDLX offers quite a new experience in terms of game-play, graphics, just to mention a few improvements.
